Jason La Greca leads AI transformation at one of Australia's largest universities whilst building AI-native products through Teachnology Ventures.
He's worked at Microsoft, Instructure (Canvas LMS), and Macquarie University. He's shipped multiple SaaS products and advises government on skills and education technology.
Now, through Teachnology, he brings all of it together: deep education expertise, hands-on technical capability, and a belief that AI should empower humans, not replace them.
The story
It started in classrooms in Western Sydney, then expanded to teaching economics in Japanese Universities. Jason saw firsthand how technology could either enhance learning or get in the way. Most systems got in the way.
That frustration led to a career spent trying to fix it. First as an educator, then as a learning designer, then as a product manager at companies like Microsoft, building tools used by millions of students and teachers.
Along the way, a pattern emerged: the gap between what technology promised and what education actually needed. Vendors selling features, not understanding. Consultants advising, but never building. AI hype everywhere, clarity nowhere.
Teachnology exists to bridge that gap. To bring an educator's mindset to AI transformation. To advise and build. To empower, not replace.
